Back in November I attended the Food Fight Write Blogger Summit that was held just prior to the 2015 World Food Championships. If you missed my post about it, be sure to check it out: Food Fight Write Post.
Kansas City Steaks was a sponsor, as well as a presenter, at the summit. They also provided the beautiful steaks that we used during the First Annual Blogger’s Challenge. They were kind enough to also offer the attendees their choice of steaks or steakburgers delivered right to our doorstep. I had a hard time deciding which to choose, but ultimately went with the steakburgers, and wanted to share them with you.
They arrived packed perfectly and still frozen solid (which I always worry about living in Florida). They can be thawed and cooked, but also cooked frozen, which is a great timesaver!
I opted to prepare them frozen, and on the grill. I cooked them over medium heat and they were done in less than 10 minutes.
I went with a southwestern twist, that was flavorful but very easy. Here’s a quick rundown of this beauty:
- Roasted poblano pepper
- 4-cheese Mexican cheese blend
- Corn salsa (1/2 cup corn, 1 chopped scallion, 1 tablespoon minced cilantro, lime juice, s&p)
- Chipotle mayonnaise (1 chipotle in adobo, minced and 3 – 4 tablespoons mayo)
Kansas City Steaks provided the steakburgers but the views in this post are my own.
